Almost 5 years ago, i made my first out of the country trip. No, it was not a pleasure trip though. I was sent there for a temporary work support. I stayed for 2 months and made new friends and was able to visit a few other states. I had 4 connecting flights then. Pretty tiring indeed but it was ok because i was booked for business accommodations. From Cebu to Hongkong to Los Angeles to Dallas and finally to Detroit in Michigan. I wish i had longer time during the stop overs that way i could check out the places. Maybe i could have stayed in one of the Dallas Texas hotels but being a first time traveller, it was a bit scary to get out of the airport, haha. Well, next time, i'm sure i'd be braver.

mother's rants

In as much as I like to travel, i'm also just your simple homey buff. I do too enjoy just being at home and laze off. The only thing i don't like is the never ending rants of my mother. I think she rants just whatever she sees. Don't get me wrong, i love her like that. Only it gets so irritating at times that i'd wish i'm somewhere else. Just yesterday, she rants that she has no space to hang the clothes she just ironed. She eventually complained that her feet are aching because she was in downtown yesterday looking for some kitchen sinks because ours needed change. I think all mothers are just like that. Will i be like her? Ngeks! :D

my parents' hometown

My parents are shall we say childhood sweethearts. They grew up in the same neighborhood, in the same province - that is in the beautiful islands of Pilar, Camotes. The last time we get to visit the place as a family was when i was still in grade one. My mother only came home sometime last year to take care of some important documents. As for myself, I got a chance to visit the neighboring towns & islands end of last month and was so surprised to see major changes. Roads are now cemented. Households have electricity and water supply unlike before wherein i have to go to the 'tabay'. Well, of course, given some ages ago, these changes should take place already. And oh my, gone are the nipa houses. There still exist some nipa houses but majority of the houses are the same houses you can see in the city. My friend told me it's because people are working abroad that's why they are able to build big houses. One of our neighbors before even have a Wilmington NC real estate, let alone getting a real estate in the province. Whew! If i have money today, i'd invest buying a property in Camotes. The place is great for vacation and relaxation. As long as i have 'puto' and fried fish, i'm great.

Uhmmnn... i've been receiving gifts lately... pasalubongs and late christmas presents.

According to the old cliche - early bird catches the worm. I'm always late but somehow i still catch the worms. When i arrive in the office, all laid are snacks and gifts. Thanks to my ever dynamic seatmate who never fails to set aside portions for me. Thanks to Jonalyna (fresh from Singapore) for the cute pink blouse and for the cute item from Romania. Thanks to Charo for the other cute item. And thanks to Melody for the food. (Meloy) I shall expect another present from Michigan, ok? hehe. :P

I think the phrase brown out is largely used only in my country. For other places, it is rather called as blackout. We only use blackout when the whole of the city has no electricity. Whichever the case, i'm glad that in the office, especially in the lab, it is equipped with emergency light so everyone can still keep up if there are blackouts. I usually stay late so imagine my horror if suddenly there's brownout and i'm all alone in the lab! Scary right!? It's good that there's some back-ups. I think that's part of the requirements for any ISO related matters.

I really have to scoot now. My friends are waiting!

A watch. One of the things i'm not comfortable without. One of the things i wish to collect. One of the things i treasure. One of the things i'm fascinated about. Really, if i have that much much money in the world. I'd buy watches of all colors and designs to match whatever i wear in a day. I don't mean to be flashy and all. I guess it's all about my addiction of matching colors. Lol! Somebody once asked me "hey, why would you buy another watch when i've seen you've got a couple already?" I simply said "just because." Have you seen the TW Steel watches? Geez, i want to have one or two or more! Arrggh!

This photo was taken last March 01, 2008 during our section outing in Portofino Beach Resort. 'Twas a great day for we had a blast capturing pictures using one of my colleagues' SLR camera. Sad to say, 3 of the girls in the picture are no longer my officemates. They had left and are working for different companies now. I sure miss the girls and the fun. Hope to have a fun filled summer with them again.

crazy week

Hayy.. since late of last year until these days, it's been pretty hectic in the office. Lots of things to do and submission dates are really tight. Just last week, 3 projects have to run simultaneously and i couldn't get hold of the test set-up all together. I had to spare the laptop issued to me so that it could be used in one of the test set-ups. I'm just glad the application worked and didn't have some issues running. I hope i can report to work early tomorrow. I have so many reports to furnish and i have to be out early because i'll be meeting 3 of my former colleagues. Yey! They'll treat us to dinner. :)

My oh my! Have i been left out already? :P One of my friends just delivered her first baby. I'm happy for her of course. I asked myself - why is everyone i know either getting married or having babies? Then i realized, it has to do with my age. See, I guess i'm at the time of my life where i should start looking to settle down. At least that's what the old folks say and what the world in general intend to happen. But I think i have a different path to lead. Maybe it's too early to tell but i'm crossing my fingers. Earlier today, i also saw a college friend who's looking very sexy just like when we were in school. I was surprised when she told me that she just had her 2nd baby. She whispered her secret. She says it's some weight loss pills coupled with healthy diet and exercise. Well, i don't have the discipline that they have so that explains why i'm not loosing a pound. I haven't visited my friend, i'm curious as to whom the baby got her looks.

One of the things that I aspire aside from travelling is to have my own humble abode. It doesn't necessarily have to be big nor grand. As always, I go for what is simple and functional. I only wish though that it has a big walk-in closet and that it's equipped with the latest gadget for my pastimes which are watching movies and blogging. A friend sent me some photos of her living room and i was a bit envious of what she had. She has a whooping Rackmount lcd and she even gloated how nice it is. Someday soon, i'll have mine, hehe. For the meantime, my old tv still works and the laptop monitor is still fine.

A friend just asked me whether or not i still continue with my diet program. She further asked what's the best diet pills available in the market today? I wish i knew the answer but i don't because i don't even stick to my own diet program, lol! I'm just good at the start but i tend to be a slack thereafter. It would get pretty useless for me. So what i really try to do is to walk my way to the zone gate from the company gate. Even so, it's not enough. I really have to be serious now. Summer is coming!!! I think i have this mantra everytime but a heap of summertime has gone by yet i never ever gained my dream figure! Aw! :P

I'm really a fan of watching lifestyle shows. My most favorite are those shows that features house makeovers, how to decorate your house and houses with style. I once chanced on a local channel showing a house of a local celebrity. At one glance, you can never really see something different or grand about her bedroom. But this particular celebrity is one who focuses rather on the details. Oh my, her bed frames are simply gorgeous. Functional of course, too. I cannot relay exactly the style but I could only wish, i have a bed and bedroom like hers.

Nor if you need some help desk about certain products, you just have to dial that oh-so-familiar line? I'm talking about a toll free number dude! I just think it's cool if i have a number like that. Any of my friends can just call me anytime while thay have to pay nothing? Well, maybe if i have some small business to run, then having such number would be profitable. It's but another year for us to start. May we never forget to thank someone from up above for all the blessings we received. And that He may continue to shower us with such bounty. I personally would like to thank the Lord for the wondrous things and experiences He allowed me to experience. Still, I hope He may continue to bless me and grant me the strength to face all the challenges ahead.

Unlike all new year's eve, i was just sitting and arranging my stuff. I was too lazy to join my sisters and relatives making noise outside when the clock ticked 12midnite. I was still hang up from the tiresome but fun Christmas holiday i had. My feet still ached and i just hope i don't have this Plantar Fasciitis case. Anyways, i'm feeling a little better already. I still owe this blog pics from the holidays. :)

I slept late again last night, like most of the nights actually. I finished about 7 episodes of The Unit Season 4. Ah i can't get enough of Sergeant Major Mack Gerhardt. If you don't know what i'm talking about, then you better start searching about the series, The Unit. I'm just really comfortable just to be at home, eating my favorite snack and watching my favorite shows. It would be really more comfy if i have this home theater seating then. Ah this will go to my Christmas wish list next year. :P For now, i'll content myself with my pillows. :P

Like i have mentioned in my other blog and in my previous entry, i was away from home last Christmas. I was with some good old friends and toured two of the tourist destinations in Asia. We got inside in one of the biggest hotels and i was really amazed on how big their rest rooms are and how nice the faucets are. I wish they are installed in our house. :P The trip was really tiring but an enjoyable one. I will let you know more about it when i have the photos.

Luckily and surprisingly, amidst the economic recession the world is experiencing today - we still get to have the usual Christmas parties we normally have annually. We had our section dinner last Friday and our department Christmas party last Saturday. Our company wide party will be this coming Friday. Thing is, some pretty bad news are coming out of the surface within the walls of the office already but i hope it's not going to be that serious. I hope everyone will get to have a nice Christmas. On a lighter note - because of the endless gettogethers we have, it's very really difficult not to gain weight again and throw away the few kilos i lost. I've heard that Ephedrasil hardcore can do a lot. Well, i aint dieting 'till the 'eating season' is over. :P

A hopeless romantic that i am, i'm inclined to like and watch the romance comedy genres. I quite have a few favorites and i collect their original VCD copies. DVDs would be better but it's quite expensive. Among my collection is the not too old movie starred by Salma Hayek and Matthew Perry (of TV series Friends), entitled Fools Rush In. Because of this movie, I long to travel to Arizona and Las vegas to see for myself what i saw in the movie. Might wanna know what exactly? Well, ain't telling you, just watch the movie! And they say, this part of the planet is one of the most romantic cities in the world. So, it's really must be worth a trip...

Me and some of my colleagues are discussing on what to give our team members this Christmas. It doesn't have to be grand but a simple token of appreciation to be given is something gracious. Really, if i were rich, i would take them to dinner and give them something really really deluxe. Just thinking about it gets me excited but for me the thought is that what really matters. I'm looking into some promotional bags and see what's best. I would like it personalized though. We are a section of about 50 people, i guess buying in bulk could give us much savings. Whatever it will be, you sure will know because i'll post it here.

I'm a godmother to 6 kids already. I repeat, a godmother. Isn't that an achievement? :P I got 3 boys and 3 girls. The eldest is about 7 years old and the youngest is barely 6 months old. During birthdays and christmases, i'm always confused as what to give them as presents, especially the boys. I sometimes wish they are all girls because i think it's easier to scout stuff for the girls. Now that Christmas is fast approaching, i'm faced with the same excitement of some sort. I already have in mind what to give them. But if I won in a lottery, i'll give the boys one or two of these remote control helicopters to play with. I'm sure they'll gonna like it! But for the meantime, i have to think of something else. :P

That's me and my friends having lunch at the same time enjoying the extremely nice weather. December 1 was a holiday and hurray to that! What better way to start the last month of the year than spending time with friends and exploring the islands? It was really a fine day to do some short trips to nearby islands or towns. Nature at its best, eating your favorite grilled food while the air is crisp - ahh heaven. Two more weeks and it's Christmas break already! Yes! Though i have lots of tasks at work to be done yet but i sure will handle it. As for you guys out there, it's never too early to start planning how to spend your holidays. You might want to try out Outer Banks rentals and free yourself from the monotonous life at work. Even simple get together with friends and family can do great magic. Can't really wait for the holidays.

Since i cannot ride a bike, how do you expect me to drive a car? :P Well, i don't have a car but rhetorically, can i possibly drive a car? I think i'm a coward when it comes to driving. I could not possibly do multitasking - looking at your rear, looking at your side, looking at the traffic lights, etc. And i'm poor in comprehending directions! A few of my friends are now driving their own cars since they got to Michigan. I kind of envy them but from where i am right now, a car is not that of a necessity. Public transportation can just get me anywhere. However, i do believe, an auto insurance is a must to those who have automobiles. We never know when things can get bad but an insurance could be of great help.

One of my greatest frustrations as a kid is riding a bike. I almost got around to riding a bike but it was cut short. My father sold our bike just before i got it mastered. Hence, i'm really wretched when it comes to biking. Ironically though, i'm an avid fan of motocross. I'm almost always present during motocross competitions back then. It's always held in reclamation area somewhere in Mandaue City. I would not mind the surging heat of the sun as long as i was there present and cheering as those motorcycle riders play daredevils. I got a chance of watching motocross again sometime mid of this year. I was a bit frustrated because i did not see the huge humps riders should hurdle. Nevertheless, it was great to see an event like that again. Some of my male officemates are into motorcycling too and i just overheard them talking about Harley parts and where to buy. Well, that part is not of my interest. :P I only like watching the competitions. :)

My golly! November came and passed in just a snap! I couldn't believe it's already December. Can you? It's just yesterday that we had our department Christmas party and now we're about to have another one. The last week of November carries with it some excitements. There's the thanksgiving, then there's the 2008 Black Friday special offers which most shoppers await. And of course, it carries with it the truth that Christmas is just around the corner. As for my case, i started December with a bang :P It's non-working day for us so I spent it with some friends nature tripping. More of the story and pictures will be posted in my trip-adventure blog later.

One weekend, i was so tired i decided to call my neighbor who's a masseuse. A 'manghihilot' in my native tongue's term. She's blind so my mother had to pick her up at her house which is just about 10 meters away from ours. She said i had too much spasms. I sounded like a pig about to be slaughtered while she was doing all the massages. I cried out loud when she reached the back of my knees! The pain was just unbearable I think i'd pee had she continued kneading my legs. She urgently ordered my mother to get some leaves, of which i forgot the name. Then told me to wrap it around my knees. I don't want to hurt her ego so i hurriedly followed her instructions. Nothing to lose eh and i might just be healed, right?

I'm an electronics engineer by profession. But don't be fooled folks because i do not carry with me the title. LOL! :D I'm so lousy when it comes to electronic tools and gadgets. If i buy something, expect that i bought it not because of its capacity or performance or super high end specifications but simply because i like the color or the shape. How about that? So, if i'd really want to make the best out of my money, I would need someone whose knowhow is superb when it comes to the best of electronic gadgets. I'm trying to learn though by reading, electronics blog is really a great help. All that i need to know is readily available for me to browse and read. Maybe, i'm not that lousy afterall.

I'm back to my bootless habit of sleeping very very late because of watching tv series i just can't stop. One episode to the next and then i realize my mother is already up preparing for our breakfast! How about that?! Because i've been watching this series about war and terrorism and other catastrophes that mankind made it possible to happen. It came to my mind that i should probably have my self defense products so if anything happens, i can protect myself! See, so much tv can lead to eccentric imaginations! Hhehe! But hey, i'm learning a lot. Probably just a fiction or based on actual accounts, but it extracts some real essence. And it is happening in our society today.

I've been working for almost 8 years already and i still don't have my own house. I'm very much amused of my coworkers who are just rather a little over newbies but are already looking into getting houses of their own. It's a good thing though that they're investing on houses. They're mostly males and are therefore off to provide a good future for their future families. Because i've seen some of the model units they've been eyeing on, i have been thinking on how to decorate my house if ever i have one. I surely could make use of ceiling fans as a decor. If i get a sleek design, it will definitely add a character to a certain room. Now, my mind is wandering!

I still do. Oist! Before your intriguing minds wonder who this Michael i'm talking about, he's not a former lover! I'm talking about the gorgeous prisoner of Prison Break. I'm not sure if he's about to make a new movie or is engaging into a new role because he is changing looks. I mean, he is getting big! If you're an avid fan of the show, you could notice the shift of his figure. My seatmate and I would always comment on how big his tummy right now in Season 4 episodes. Whatever it is, i still adore him. Michael Scofield still rocks! He is still the same brainy structural engineer who could do so much with bearings in order to execute his espaces from the prison. No wonder, Sarah is madly inlove with him!

See, i keep on mentioning that i should try to be healthy and maintain a healthy weight. But how can i do that when all i think about is food? Tsk! Last Friday, i ate these goodies past 12 midnite when it's always advised not to eat before sleeping. Argh! I'm really a hopeless case! How can i wear that dress i've been eyeing on? I sure won't do justice wearing it. I should probably try some natural fat burner and maybe it could help me achieve my dream weight. Hey, i'm not being overly conscious about how i look. Diamonds are forever, they say. Pretty sure, this is neither a new cliche to you. It just brought me to writing because one afternoon i received an SMS from a colleague. We were actually in the meeting room when she sent out the message only i read it after the meeting. I took hold of my mobile phone when i got back to my desk.

colleague: (in the text said) look at Betty's (alias) hand.
me: (texted back) why?
colleague: it has a ring! (we were texting even if we were in the same area haha)
me: really??? (i knew she meant an engagement ring then)

The colleague and I were actually happy because the person we were talking about is a common friend. Her real name? That i cannot disclose yet! She haven't told us the story about the ring anyway. And who knows, it might not be the kind of ring we were thinking of. :D

On to these ring stories. Another friend once mentioned that before a woman get engaged or get married, she should buy for herself that one ring she likes ardently. And seriously, i'm on search for that ring! LOL! What do you have in mind? Perhaps diamond rings right? Maybe but i want a pink one! Heheh!

i'm hoarding notebooks!

Yeah, i'm hoarding notebooks! And i don't mean notebooks like the computer. I mean the notebook, you know that thing with blank pages where you write notes?

It's like this. At work, we have this online office supply shop, sort of. We just have to visit the company website, logon, then request for items you need or like for that matter. Last Monday, i made request for a steno notebook. I love bookstores and i love new notebooks and pens. But i was not excited because they (the company) don't purchase nice brands/items. If you ever heard of costcutting, that pretty well explains it.

I was surprised! The steno notebook is of good quality. Felt like i want to write and write on it. Thinking the next batch of notebooks would be of poor quality again, I requested for another one.

Was surprised even more! My thoughtful colleagues knew just how i love pink so this time they gave me the pink one. I am so delighted! Delighted so much that i made request again for two additional notebooks. Heheh!!!! I want another pink steno notebook and the orange notebook. Now, the purchasing people will wonder why i requested for so many notebooks! LOL! Wala lang, cute ra ang notebook! :D

Growing up, i knew that my parents don't have insurance because i know for a fact that they cannot afford the monthly stipend then. Later in life, one of my close friends lost her mother to heart attack. I was there as she hurdle the struggle of losing a mother. She told me that even when their mother is no longer around, she still took care of them. Their mother didn't let them worry about monitory expenses because her mother obtained term life insurance to make sure everything is taken cared of if anything happens. I understand that adversities in life may happen, it is just befitting to prepare for it. We never want to leave our loved ones hanging. Would we?

My friend in California just told me about what transpired during her getaway. She spent her entire week in Carolina to visit a long time friend from highschool. She was really having a great time not until an accident happened. They were having some roadtrips when a raging car bumped into their car. The driver must not be looking that the traffic light signal was about to turn red. She and her friend were okay, they just sustained some minor bruises. Good thing they got a competent South Carolina injury lawyer who helped them with their case. Accidents are inevitable but i think it's a relief if you'll get to receive payments for the injuries sustained.

We can't really tell what's going to happen in the future - surprises always await us. Sometime last month, I met an old elementary classmate. I wasn't able to identify him at first glance because he looked different. Totally different from what i had always pictured him from before. He was this tall skinny kid. Then again, surprised as i am, he became this physically good looking fellow. He is skinny no more! He got a great body to boost. I certainly asked him what happened. He then told me that he became active in sports in college. He goes to the gym regularly plust the help of some pro hormones to go with. I was really amazed. Little did i know i'd see a new person in the years to come.

Often we receive funny text messages or quotes from friends. But seldom that we receive some facts or informative text messages right? Last week, i got this text message from a colleague. It goes - "Do you eat toccino, longganisa, hotdogs, spam, liver spread, instant noodles, instant coffee and fruit juices? Do you eat pork? Use microwave? Clean your body's sewage system now. I was strucked! With all of those unhealthy junk fancy food i eat everyday. It's really time is should try some orovo detox to have a healthy digestive system and body in general. Last night (like the rest of all previous nights)- I was craving for pizza. I don't know, i can't seem to get enough of pizza. It's either i want to eat pizza or garlic bread. LOL! I wanted to go out and buy but i figured it's about to rain. I felt lazy. I tried and controlled my desire not to eat this sinful delight. Sinful in a way that i'm advised not to eat much of these type of food. Maybe it's high time i should try orovo and be healthy instead. What do you think? Don't forget to back up, your files that is. You may never want to experience the horror i had last week when my hard drive in the office crashed just like what i mentioned in my previous post. And i don't have any back up to all of my recent files at that. I was so worried i can't think placidly. Here's what actually happened. Logging on to my account would take me hours. I tried logging in other workstations and everything's okay. I asked some people to login in my PC and it's the same thing, they could not login immediately. The IT personnel advised me to save my files while they still can access the hard disk without logging on to the network. I was glad i managed to save my files despite the fact that i was having almost 3 days downtime.

For 3 days last week, all i did was saving and transferring my files from one disk to the other. I literally have not performed actual tasks because i was too busy worrying on salvaging my files. I at least have to impose 3 colleagues to allow me to store some of my files temporarily on their workstations. (Thanks to them!) On Thursday, i managed to burn some files and have used 5 DVDs already. I'm not in any way close to 100% in creating backups. The IT personnel took my harddisk thursday night and fortunately returned it to me afternoon the next day. I'm thankful they helped me readily and thanks too to the CAT6 cables, i didn't have a hard time accessing my files remotely.

Michael Scofield of Prison Break is up again on its 4th season and i can't wait for each week to pass to be able to watch each succeeding episode. He simply is adorable! Opps.. not to mention that he is undeniably a very intelligent person. Last night, i was watching the 7th episode where some of the guys have to go to Nevada. As always, i'm amazed by the splendid las vegas hotels being shown. If you're a fan of the show like me, then you must know what i'm talking about. :)

My friend, Gugs, just sent me photos of her humble abode. She purchased some shelves and other stuff to fill and decorate her living room. I was quite envious. I have always dreamed of having my own place and having to decorate it just the way i would want it. Well, she's not too sure about the color and style of the cabinet she bought. She apparently wanted something to make the space appear bigger or spacious. Maybe she should try check out some discount furniture and she might just find that piece she's looking for. I sometimes forget to keep in mind the due dates of my bills - cards and mobile phone. I'd end up paying for late charges because I'd lost track which bill is due on which date. I should avoid this circumstances because extra charges are the last thing i want. Maybe it's high time i should give up all my other cards and get a high limit credit card instead. By then, with just one card, I wouldn't have to think about so many due dates.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

A friend just told me that she gets lazy tinkering her computer already after dinner because the weather is getting cold. All she wants to do after eating is grab some pillows and sleep. I told her to grab some hot tea to boost her energy so she could get some things done before she retires for the night. I'm thinking of sending her some electric blanket to keep her warm. cooking lessons

Me and my friends in the office are looking into some cooking class we can enrol by next month. This should be fun cooking with your friends! The only problem i could see is that the class schedules are on weekdays. That would mean i have to be absent from work and i don't have paid leaves anymore, toinks! I really want to learn baking. I had a little exposure back in highschool but i never got around to master it. I also want to learn to cook my favorite food. When that time comes, i want to be able to prepare a decent meal for my family. I've got some recipes already that i'd like to cook - sweet potato casserole on top of the list.

My colleague sent out an email yesterday informing everybody that she's looking for a roommate. She just found an apartment which she claimed to have the following deals: well ventilated, with CR and kitchen, rooftop with views of the nearby hotel and Mactan bridge, place is calm and safe, accessible, one ride to office, free water charge, electric bill separate, newly constructed, etc. Sounds tempting to me huh! I've seen some of the units since one of my good friends is living there. I have been looking for an apartment myself but i think i'm changing plans. This could have been a good offer at a reasonable price. A friend also announce he's selling his car because he wants to have a car with auto air conditioning unit. The office has now become the most perfect trading avenue. :)

I always like it when me and my friends dine out in Golden Cowrie - a Filipino restaurant that serves the best of Pinoy cuisine. Last Friday, we went there again and savor our favorite food which include the crispy pata, dinuduguan, shrimp sinigang, bicol express, etc. Seeing all the food served in front of me, my idea of diet vanished into the thin air. I guess it's high time i should consider diet pills before I panic about excessive weight gain. Don't get me wrong, i'm not the type who gets overly conscious about my appearance. It's just good to be healthy.

When i was in college, i only weigh at about 103-108 lbs which is great because ideally, i should not weigh more than 112 lbs. That is the proportionate weight for a 5'2" tall woman according to health books. When i started working, i slowly gained weight. I went up to 109 lbs to 111 lbs. I got overly conscious that i went to the gym for a month then i stopped. In the next few months, I gained even more - i reached 115 lbs! I'm alarmed but i'm still doing nothing. I went as high as 123 lbs, it's really freaking me out. I'm a very short lady. I should at least look thinner to compensate my short height. With much effort, i'm slowly losing weight that i'm currently at 119 lbs. Not that much, but i'm at least getting there. I really need to have that effective fat burner so I can pull down my weight back to at least 112 lbs.

Have you read my previous entry about a child who just got her left eye operated? Though glaucoma and the likes are hereditary, i think it's still best to take good care of our eyes. I'm sure there are lots of tips online that we could try doing to help us. Maybe that should come along with healthy lifestyle and healthy diet. But thanks to advancement in technology, Lasik can do much to correct eye problems. I wish Kaye gets to have her right eye operated on sooner. She has to go back to school next year. I hope by that time, her vision is perfect already.

Roquesa "Kaye" is a 9-year old girl that Bisdakplanet is trying to help to get her eyesight back. She has glaucoma and through the initiative of some people with benevolent hearts, she finally underwent the operation last Saturday. The operation went well though only the left eye as her right eye has some sore. "Bwengget" kung sa bisaya pa. She is going to need more funds for her future right eye operation. I was glad we really had a chance to visit her last night. It was an inspiration to see how she battles her daily life without her eyesight. Hopefully, with your help, she will gain back her vision and get back to school.

As i have mentioned, Christmas is just around the corner. That brought me to reminiscing some previous christmas parties in the office and the gifts that i gave and received during the kris kringle and exchanging gifts. In one of those parties, the person who gave me a gift the year before was the same person i was gonna give a gift. We had this sort of wish list where every participant can write what she wishes to have. She wanted to have a set of screw drivers. I was amused. She's a woman and wanting to have a set of screw drivers was the last thing i could think of. But that was her wish so i made an effort of going through hardware shops and looked for her screw drivers. Glad i found one and i hope she liked it. Haven't i bought her screw drivers, i think she will still like these air tools i found online. Don't you think?

Olala! It's September 1 - the start of 'ber' month. When it's ber month, it's almost insinuating that Christmas is just around the corner. So, i already have my wish list filled out, at least the first two. You know how i love pink stuff. So, i really think you're an angel if you'd give me these. Pretty please!

A laptop, an mp3/4 player, pink dress, pink bag, or you could even buy me gift certificates for a beauty retreat or you could even just buy me the best acne products available in the market today. See, i really am not that choosy. I take whatever you will give. :)

what i really want to be

Do you remember your elementary days when you exchange slumbooks or autographs with your friends and classmates? And do you ever remember the rather most interesting question which goes - what is your ambition in life or what do you want to become when you grow up? Funny but i always remember it. While most of my friends would say that they want to become a nurse, i was a bit different. I wanted to become an accountant, a CPA Lawyer at that! Though there were instances i'd put i want to become a nurse or a teacher but those times were probably just because it's what everyone wanted. Should have i pursued my original innocent dream, maybe i'm one kick-ass lawyer right now. :P Speaking of attorneys, if you're in a situation right now that needs to be addressed legally, don't hesitate to contact a Chicago accident attorney and rest assured you'd get the help you need.

2 long weekends gone

I hated the fact that two long weekends has passed but i did nothing special to make the most of the holidays. Nothing worthwhile to grab the non-working days. Last monday was a non working day and today is a non-working day too. Wow! that's a lot! Our offshore counterparts are way too envious of how many holidays we have here. They can't seem to fathom what those holidays for, lol. I could have gone on a vacation but i have cough so i don't feel like traveling. It's been pretty hectic in the office as well. And most of all, i don't have much money to spare right now. I'm so tempted by all those credit card agents who keep on calling me in the office. Maybe to be safe, i might as well just check out authorize.net and apply for a credit card online.

Well, there will be another holidays to come. I hope i get to enjoy the next ones.

You know what's nice when you have coworkers who come from different provinces? It's the delicacies they bring when they get back to work after vacationing to their hometowns. It's always a delight when you get to work and get to eat some special delicacies from them.

i was expecting the small thin budbuds but was surprised to see this big muron... this is the biggest muron i've seen! LOL! anyways, the bigger the muron, the bigger the chocolate part of the budbud...
It's 2:00am and i'm still eating! My diet is gone with the wind again. I should try another diet plan perhaps? Phentermine without a prescription i think is another alternative. I've heard much about it. Let's see.

Who loves to party? Halloween invitations and parties might be too early to mention already. But if you're planning to hold a halloween party, conceptualizing early is beneficial. That will give you ample time to prepare a blastful and successful party. Speaking of parties i just received one invitation today. Not a halloween party of course!

It's the christening of my friend's daughter, Samantha. And i'm going to be a godmother for the 6th time. Great! :) Now, i'm contemplating whether or not to work on Friday. The party is on Friday afternoon and i feel lazy coming to work in the morning.

I come from a country surrounded with thousands of beautiful islands. You have 3 options to get to different places - by land, sea or air or combination of the three. I love to travel but hate the motion sickness part on either of the three ways. Riding in busses could be fun especially if you get to have a nice look of the views you pass by. It could be tiring if it's like more than four hours ride already. Boats? Nah, would be fun but I hate to think that i can't swim if anything goes wrong. Planes? Sure thing for me especially if i can get fair flight deals to enjoy. Don't you think?

Isn't it heaven when out of the blue you get to buy a pair of shoe that fits you? Lo & behold for I just found the cutest slip on shoes I have. The heels reminded me of Cinderella's shoes while the decorative gem stones that of former First Lady Imelda's gazillion pairs of shoes.

But hey, i may love all those girly sandals but i also find comforts in wearing flat close shoes. In fact, i find golf shoes to be really cool especially if i have one in pink.
