pink umbrella

Here's another freebie i got last night from my favorite toiletries' shop. Not really my favorite but there's not too many stores around here that sells just about beauty products and toiletries. If your total bill is Php700.00, you get a free umbrella if you buy any of the qualifiers! My bill was only about Php630.00 so I bought two packs of cottonballs at Php45.00. Still not enough, i grabbed a pack of cookies! How crazy is that? LOL! The magic word free is really twisting!

By the way, I was with a few friends in Mactan eating dinner before I went to Fuente with Glorie and bought some stuff. I was planning to buy dvd's of new movies but i found nothing interesting. The dvds available were old stocks.

strawberry soda

As I may have mentioned a number of times already, my first priority when ordering for a drink is anything mango. Mango shake or mango juice. For desserts, i always take mango crepe if available. Last night, i just thought of ordering a strawberry soda something. I forgot the complete name of this beverage but i was just intrigued. Of course, it's pink being strawberry flavored. And even it's pink as it is, i don't think i'd be ordering this again. It just tasted like a flavored water? Well, i don't know, but to me it tasted like one. :P

arggh! i'm a dork!

Did i not say i cheat today for my diet? Spank me! I did it again! LOL! My coworkers were ordering pizza after dinner and just like all other of my stories, i did not resist the ill temptation. Betcha by golly wow! I think a mere pound that i lost in two weeks is doubled in just one day! Huhuh.... Maybe next time, i'll put something on my nose so i couldn't smell the food. Hahah!

cheater!

I just wrote a few days ago that i'm on a diet. And that i cannot say that i'm really that serious with it because i cheat. I still sneak eating "unhealthy" food every now and then. I still eat snacks in between meals. I still eat even if i'm done eating dinner. Today is not an excuse. How can i forbid myself from eating when all of my coworkers are? That is complete torture! So i gave in... (another excuse again! hehe)

Ahuh! Really, we didn't agree on what to wear. It just happened we wore the same thing - pedal shorts, open toe sandals and striped blouse. But we both agree, we are cute! Nyahahaha!!!! :D

i'm on a diet!

Seriously, i'm on a strict diet right now! Ok, take away the word serious since i cheat sometimes. I'm on a diet right now. I really feel i'm getting bigger and bigger! I have to do something about it! I wanted to wear all those two-piece swimwear i have but i can't because my fats are overwhelming! LOL! Healthwise, i'm way overweight for my height. I should not weigh more than 112 lbs but i am now 124lbs. I have to lose at least 12 lbs. Back in college, i only weigh from 103-108lbs. I have a poor eating habit and I don't exercise. I always think of food, food and food. What do i expect with that? So, some 10 days ago, I started my diet plan. Hopefully i will see the result in a month! I swear it's really difficult. I just don't go to the canteen anymore so I wouldn't be tempted to eat all those junks. On Sundays though i will pig out, it's my reward for eating good on weekdays. Simply put, just an excuse to cheat and eat to my heart and stomache's content! :D Wish me luck! :P

what's in a name?

I always am envious everytime i read out someone's name especially if it's a two-name name. Is there a term for that type of name? Let me know. They say your name is the sweetest word you could probably hear when uttered. Not that i don't like my four-letter-name L A N Y but sometimes it sets me wishing that i have a two-name name. Can't my mother think of another name then? Lany Marie could have been nicer. I would even buy if it's Maria Lany. Why just Lany? Anyhow, i'm happy it's not Lanie or Lani which is hideously common. Redundancy if you may say. Common name with a common spelling. See, there are really adorable names i wish i own...

No, you're not looking into my shoe rack. I wish though. But the shoes are really lovely, would you agree? I took this photo while trying on a cool pair of shoes. Yes, you're looking at my legs! LOL! :D I wish you could view the shoes i'm trying on clearly. The design is unique and funky! I really felt i could strut with that pair of shoes. :P Sadly, no more stock for my shoe size. :(

Nope, they aren't gigantic photos of soda cans. They are actually trash cans. Saw these in Mactan Shrine during the annual food festival sometime last April? ( i forgot the exact date) Cute noh? You should try and be there during the annual food festival. Lots of major restaurants and resorts in Cebu will showcase their specialties. With just one night, you can't get enough of all the food you like to buy and eat. Anyways, the festival runs for a week.

being useful

How do wealthy people get that way? By making themselves useful.

worthwhile summer

Summer is officially over. Students are back to school tomorrow especially the students from public schools. Maybe i could have made my summer more productive if i engaged into something that is worthwhile. I should have taken some sports lessons or cooking lessons. I read this class offering from one of my emails and was really interested. Though sadly, the classes are only held in Manila. Tsk! The class could have been really perfect for me! What a pitty! :D

long weekend

It's a long weekend for us and i had no planned activities of whatever sort. I was just at home the whole time watching TV and sleeping. Yesterday evening, I went to Fuente Osmena at about 8pm after watching a few segments of the PBB show out of unbearable boredom. I roamed around hoping to find some new Koreanovela dvds. I got hungry so there goes my drama, eating alone in Mcdo! :P How true is the saying that what is forbidden is sweet. :D

hearty slippers

Who doesn't like freebies? Sure enough, most of us do. Getting free items is just elating. Sometimes even the things that are for free aren't really that useful to us but the fact that it is for free is just so cool.

I went to one of my favorite shops one time and purchased some toiletries. The saleslady approached me and asked me if i want something from a group of items listed on their board. I asked what is it for me if i buy something from the list? She said that i'll get a pair of slippers for free! I took a look of the slippers and i got so attracted to the designs in an instant. I selected immediately an item from the list and included it in my shopping basket.


I went home that night with a smile in my face for i just had a new set of pink with heart print slippers. :P

Then again i was given by my thoughtful seatmate with a cute item - a pinky name tag. It's really heartwarming when someone remembers just how you like things to be. The thought of it is very much appreciated always.

start of classes

Classes for this school year is just about to start and compared to other students, I think i am way far prepared than them! LOL! I got my cute set of ballpens, pencils and notes already.

One of my stress relievers is going to bookstores. It isn't reading or buying book however that does the trick. Seeing all those cute school supplies just make my day and i can't help but buy them for myself. Well, who said i can't buy them and use them? I still can - in the office! :P The office supplies provided by the company are dull and ugly. Why choose to be dull when i can choose to be colorful? :D

When i think about it, I never had these stuff when i was schooling. I was lucky if i could have a new set of cheap notebooks and pencils. I think buying this cute things is just a part of my self rewarding moments.

short shorts

Most of the time, i'm just comfortable wearing walking shorts than long pants when i'm out. I often envy those ladies with nice set of legs. And how they could strut with those sexy short shorts. Last weekend when i made my journey to 'Colon' even when it was raining, I met my dream shorts! Not only it is a short shorts - it's also pink! Wanna try it on? ;)
